The rideshare company Uber is rolling out a new online tool for police to use.
According to a spokesperson, the tool will help make investigation requests more efficient, streamlining that process with the help of their global law enforcement outreach team. It's designed to give police the ability to gather critical information more securely and quickly, while they're out in the field.
They also say the company is committed to working with law enforcement as well as protecting the privacy of their users.
