BRIDGEPORT, W. V.a. (WDTV)- On Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings their wings brought more than good times - they also helped raise money for the United Way of Harrison County.
It was the United Way's annual hot wing eating contest which is their largest fundraising event. This year's contest offered three different ways to win and they had more than 20 competitors take part this year. Patrons sponsored wing eating competitors of their choosing by donating a set dollar amount for every wind eaten. The proceeds will help support the funding of 20 human resource agencies across Harrison county.
"A fundraiser for the United Way and Antero lets us come over and let's us do this and help sponsor this. It's a great fundraiser for the community and great fun," said the male category winner Tim Wilson.
