UPSHUR COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) - The Upshur County Commission met for a special meeting this morning, approving a change of voting systems for the county.

The County Clerk says that people will start using the Express Vote System come November. This change comes as a result of the end of the current voting machines ten-year lifespan, but the new machines will allow the county to use one voting equipment instead of two. The County Clerk also says that the Express Vote System is user-friendly and not connected to the internet, making it unable to be hacked.
