CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- The West Virginia Legislature will reconvene on May 20th for a special session on education.
According to a letter to legislators from Senate President Mitch Carmichael and House Speaker Roger Hanshaw, the session will begin at 2 p.m. next Monday.
The special session was announced months ago after the second teacher strike in around a year. Education leaders in the state recently hosted public forums to discuss issues to be presented to legislators for the session.
