The West Virginia National Guard has announced that Adjutant General Maj. Gen. James Hoyer will sign a memorandum of understanding with six colleges and universities within the state to develop internships with the WVNG’s Fitness Training Program.

“Through the MoU, students attending West Virginia State University, University of Charleston, Marshall University, West Virginia University, Shepherd University, and Davis and Elkins College studying in the health and wellness fields, will be afforded an opportunity to work hand-in-hand with WVNG units as well as Soldiers and families participating in Fitness Training Program,” the WVNG stated in a press release.

The memorandum will be signed Thursday. The Fitness Training Program was developed in 2016 and works to provide a holistic approach for physical fitness and wellness for soldiers.
