WV, U.S. flags ordered to half-staff to honor former representative

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- All state and national flags throughout the state are to be put at half-staff immediately until sunset on Saturday.

Governor Jim Justice has issued a proclamation in accordance with President Donald Trump's in order to honor the legacy of former Michigan Representative John David Dingell, Jr.

Dingell served in the U.S. House for 59 years before retiring in 2014, as the longest serving Congressman in American history.
