MORGANTOWN, W. Va. WDTV was invited on a tour Friday morning to take a look at all of the progress being made on WVU’s new Aquatic and Track Center.
The athletic facilities, which are located on 55 acres of land at Mylan Park, will include a diving tower, fitness center, an outdoor splash pad and even spectator seating around the pool.
The $40 million project is expected to benefit both students and the surrounding community.
Keith Hernstrom, the General Manager/Executive Director at Mylan Park says “a component of this facility is that it’s truly open to the entire Greater-Morgantown community and those wanting to travel from out of state.”
The Aquatic and Track Center is expected to open in November of 2019.
