WVWC student arrested after marijuana, gun found in dorm room

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A West Virginia Wesleyan College student has been arrested after marijuana and a gun were found in a dorm room.

According to the criminal complaint, WVWC security officers alerted the Buckhannon Police Department after smelling apparent marijuana coming from a dorm room at Camden Hall. When speaking to 20-year-old Taylor Kulla, he handed over THC oil to security and admitted to smoking in the room. A search of the room led officers to find marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a pistol that was in a backpack.

Kulla, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, is charged with possession with intent to deliver and possession of a deadly weapon on the premises of an educational facility.

In a statement, the college said, “The College is cooperating with local law enforcement officials and will follow all procedures that are outlined in the Code of Conduct in Wesleyan’s Student Handbook.”
