A woman from Webster County is facing charges after state police say she fired a gun at a man.

Pamela Jo Bender, 56, of Cowen is charged with Attempted Murder, Wanton Endangerment and Possession of a controlled Substance.

According to the criminal complaint, troopers with West Virginia State Police were called to the 3600 block of Williams river road in Webster County for a possible domestic in progress with a firearm.

When troopers got on scene they saw two vehicles in a field. That's when the male victim allegedly ran towards them yelling, "She has a gun and she tried to shoot me."

According to the criminal complaint, Bender and the victim have been living together for a year. Bender became mad at the victim, allegedly pulled a handgun and threatened to kill him. While the victim was running towards his car, Bender allegedly fired shots which struck the vehicle twice.

Troopers said they found a gun under the front seat of one of the vehicles. During a pat down troopers also allegedly found a small baggy which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Bender is in jail on $60,000 bond.
