Weston Christmas parade kicks off the holiday season

The city of Weston pulled out all the stops to kick off the holiday season in Lewis County.

Local groups used their creativity to create unique floats designed to fit this year's theme of "Christmas Cartooons".

Participants dressed in their holiday best as the marched down Court Avenue.

The Lewis County high school band marched and played Christmas classics.

The local Girl Scout chapter showed their holiday spirit with their reindeer themed display.

And a local drill team were the showstoppers as they juggled fire while marching down the street .

One local businesses continued their holiday tradition of handing out free cookies and hot chocolate.

"This is my 10th annual and we have done it every year as a service to the community," said Trena Williams of Trena Williams PLLC Law Office

She was joined in this tradition by her brother Travis with accounting firm C.P.A

"We've been here two years and we're giving out totes to gather candy,"

Saturday, December 1st- Bridgeport Christmas Parade at 10 a.m.

Friday, November 30th – Clarksburg Christmas parade at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 1st – Bridgeport Christmas parade at 10 a.m.

Saturday, December 8th – Salem Christmas parade at 6:00 p.m. in downtown Salem
