Westover woman charged after 2-year-old overdoses on medication

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A Westover woman has been charged after a 2-year-old child overdosed on medication.

According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a home on Eric Street last month. Police say 62-year-old Donna Snow left the child to get food at a store when the child was able to get to bottles of Clonidine and Hydrochlorothiazide and take the medications.

Officials say the child was taken to the hospital, where he coded multiple times and had a stroke.

Snow has been charged with child neglect resulting in serious injury.
