BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV)- It was a fun week full of fireworks and cookouts, but hopefully you recovered from the 4th of July holiday because we have a few activities to keep you busy this weekend.
This Saturday marks the monthly Downtown Morgantown Bazaar. Make your way to the University City for a fabulous display from local artists, craftsmen, and collectors. They will be gathered in one place from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. This event happens once a month on Fayette Street throughout the summer.
If you did not get enough of the firework fun this week, do not worry! All of the patriotic festivities continue this Saturday at the 71st Annual 4th of July Fireworks in Weston. Enjoy a day full of food, games and contests, all free of charge starting at 4:00 PM. You will want to get a good seat at Robert L Bland Middle School field for the show in the sky at 10:15.
The two big events on Sunday both have to do with food, a WDTV favorite. Plus the first one is for a great cause! It is the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, organized to help Tina Merritt, a local woman battling cancer. Spaghetti is served at 11:00 AM until they sell out at the Shinnston Moose on Bridge Street. Plates will cost $8 for adults, $5 for children and they have a long and yummy menu prepared.
If you like to eat outdoors, we have the perfect opportunity for you! On Sunday you are invited to the Picnic in the Park at Nutter Fort! Enjoy food, music, games- you name it! Everyone will gather at the Lions Den Pavilion at 1:00 PM. The fun is expected to last until 5:00 PM.
If you attend any of these events, feel free to send pictures to WDTV 5 News on Facebook. We would love to see!
