BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - A woman from Harrison County was stopped at the North Central West Virginia Airport on Tuesday after a loaded gun was found in her carry-on.
According to TSA officials, Bridgeport Police confiscated the gun at the checkpoint and the woman, who is from Shinnston, was detained for questioning.
The woman allegedly told police that she forgot she had her .380 caliber handgun in the bag. Officials say it was loaded with four bullets.
TSA officials say it marked the first gun caught at the airport checkpoint this year.
