BRAXTON COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A woman has been charged after allegedly stealing over $1,000 in items from a Sutton Walmart.
According to the criminal complaint, officers received a complaint from Asset Protection at the Scotts Fork Road Walmart regarding Carolyn Asbury.
Officials say Asbury allegedly took part in a scheme to rob the store. Another individual allegedly entered the Walmart in February, took a diaper genie and a potty seat out of their boxes and replaced the items with "high dollar" items. Asbury then allegedly went into the store and knowingly took the boxes with the replaced items and checked them out.
Asbury has been charged with grand larceny and conspiracy.
