JUST IN: WVU basketball players West, Gordon seeking transfers

Two more West Virginia men’s basketball players are looking to transfer from the Mountaineers.

The school says forwards Lamont West and Andrew Gordon have put their names into the NCAA’s transfer portal.

West started about half of the Mountaineers’ games this season, averaging 11.1 points and 4.1 rebounds. Gordon averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds and played seven minutes per game, while backing up centers Derek Culver and Logan Routt.

They join guards James “Beetle” Bolden and Trey Doomes, who also are seeking transfers as well as Wesley Harris, who was kicked off the team in February. West and Gordon's departures would leave West Virginia with 4 scholarships offers to give for next season.
