Best Virginia Advances in TBT with 79-63 Victory over Seven City Royalty

With 4 minutes to play in the game, the target score was set to 78. Best Virginia was 8 points away from their first-ever victory in the Basketball Tourament, holding a 70-80 advantage.

Devin Williams split two pairs of free throws. Juwan Staten made a hard-fought lay up before hitting the ground with an apparent wrist injury. Williams then flushed down the tail end of Truck Bryant's pair of free throws to bring Best Virginia within one point of the win, and then Jaysean Paige provided the exclamation point finishing an alley oop from Bryant to seal the 79-63 victory.

Paige & Kevin Jones led Best Virginia with 17 points each while John Flowers added 16 points off the bench. Devin Williams added 10 points all of which came in the fourth quarter.

Best Virginia will play Overseas Elite in the second round of the TBT on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Richmond.
