Big Third Inning Powers WVU over Marshall, 15-3

West Virginia scored nine runs in the third inning and never looked back as the Mountaineers (14-10) took care of Marshall (15-9), 15-3, at Power Park in Charleston on Wednesday evening.

Sophomore designated hitter Paul McIntosh led the team with a season-high-tying three hits and three RBIs with two runs scored. He hit his team-best sixth home run of the season in the third inning.

Mountaineers will host Oklahoma in their first Big 12 home series of the season, beginning on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Mon County Ballpark.
