Bridgeport Takes Care of Charleston Catholic in Tourney Tune-Up, 13-0

Bridgeport has its sight set on its sixth consecutive double-A title beginning on Thursday in Charleston, but the Tribe got one last tune-up against Single A Charleston Catholic on Monday afternoon. Indians beat the Irish 13-0 in 5 innings.

Bridgeport broke for 4 runs in the second, then followed up with a 9-run third inning. On the mound, Connor Robe pitched 3 scoreless innings allowing 2 hits with 2 strike outs, while Nathan Mullins and Tyler Wilkinson came in to pitch a scoreless inning a piece.

Bridgeport faces Shady Spring in round 1 of the AA Tournament at Appalachian Power Park on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The AA state championship game is set for Saturday at 10 a.m.
