Former WVU Player & Staffer Long Hired as Head Coach at WVU Tech

Former West Virginia Men's Basketball guard and staff member James Long has been hired as head coach at WVU Tech.

Long had been serving as video coordinator for the past two years for the Mountaineers.

The Charleston native was a member of the men's basketball team from 2014-17 and averaged 1.4 points per game in 23 appearances, including his only start on senior night in which he nailed a triple to open the WVU scoring.

This comes just under a month after former WVU guard & Fairmont State head coach Joe Mazzulla was hired as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics.
