Coach Ryan Wilson enters year 25 at the helm for the Clay-Battelle Cee Bees and he is confident that 2019 could be the year that playoff football returns to Blacksville.
The Cee Bees have not made the playoffs since their 2014 state semifinal appearance.
Clay-Battelle will run a two quarterback system for the third season in a row with seniors and cousins Seth Casino and Levi Carrico. Sean Hays returns at running back and Coach Wilson said he could see a big difference in his speed from a year ago because of the work he put in during the offseason.
The Cee Bees have ten seniors on their roster who are all looking to get a taste of postseason football for the first and last time in their high school careers. Clay-Battelle begins its season with an away contest at Gilmer County on August 30.
