Former West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms is getting his shot at playing pro football. After not being selected in Wednesday's NFL Supplemental Draft, Simms was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Simms will sign with the Jags pending a physical on Thursday.
Simms entered the NCAA transfer portal in April but ultimately elected to forgo his final season of NCAA eligibility to pursue his NFL hopes.
Simms had 46 receptions for 699 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Mountaineers in 2018, and finished his WVU career with 87 catches for 1,457 yards and 8 touchdowns in his three seasons in Morgantown.
