In February, Morgantown offensive lineman Nick Malone decommitted from the University of Pittsburgh, and reopened his recruitment after committing to the Panthers in August.
Today, Malone signed on as a preferred walk-on for the West Virginia Mountaineers, and agreed that everything happens for a reason.
He is anxious to prove himself as an offensive tackle at WVU and knows that the Mountaineers have a long history of successful walk-ons.
Malone was joined by three other Mohigans at signing day on Wednesday. His Morgantown teammate, Aaron Alvarez, signed to play cornerback for Marietta College football. Cody Calvert inked his letter on intent to play lacrosse at Mount Union in Ohio, while Mackenzie Sorton committed to Fairmont State to play tennis.
