Marion County to Allow Athletes to Practice Monday
After a very interesting week off of the playing field in Marion County, superintendent Randy Farley and the school board are changing course.
Earlier this week, Farley and the board had rejected Phase I & 2 of the WVSSAC's return to play plan and were not going to allow student-athletes to beginning strength and conditioning on the state mandated date of this Monday, June 8.
They changed their minds today, as all Marion County athletic directors received an email allowing teams to set up their outdoor strength and conditioning schedules at the schools on Monday.
Phase permits athletes to practice in 10-person pods. The practices are strictly strength and conditioning based and are limited to one hour outdoors.
Not all sports teams are expected to participate.
