Morgantown senior Caleb Taylor has won the Johnny Bench Award for the state's best catcher. Taylor received his award before the Cincinnati Reds game tonight on the field at Great American Ballpark.
Taylor batted .491 with nine home runs and 43 RBIs this season. The Potomac State commit also added versatility to the Mohigans' pitching staff and at first base. On the mound, Taylor went 7-1 with a 2.51 ERA in 13 appearances.
