No. 1 Baylor Escapes WVU's Valiant Effort, 63-57

The Mountaineers went toe-to-toe with No. 1 Baylor all night, and came within 3 points with under 8 minutes to play, but the Bears closed the game at the free throw line as Baylor (28-1) escaped Morgantown with a win over West Virginia (20-9), 63-57.

On Senior Night, Naomi Davenport dropped 20 points and grabbed 13 boards while Tynice Martin added 18. Freshaman Kari Niblack had 13 points in 30 minutes of work.

Lauren Cox led the Bears with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

The Mountaineers begin Big 12 tournament play in Oklahoma City on Friday.
