After missing all of the 2018 season with an ACL tear he suffered in fall camp, R-freshman tight end/ fullback Mike O'Laughlin is healthy and ready for his Mountaineer debut at his new position.
O'Laughlin was a wide receiver at Fenwick High School in Illinois but always knew he was bound to be a tight end at the next level.
"I wasn't a blazing fast receiver in high school so I knew that a lot of the coaches that looked at me would want to put 30-40 pounds on me," O'Laughlin said. "A lot of the camps I went to, I would workout with the tight ends because that's where I'd get the most looks."
With the status of R-junior tight end Jovani Haskins up in the air because of his off the field issues, O'Laughlin is one of the next men up to fill that void at tight end for the Mountaineers.
