Second Half Surge Powers Kansas State Over West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, Wv. The Wildcats outscored the Mountaineers 35-23 in the second half as West Virginia (10-16) fell to No. 23 Kansas State (20-6) on Monday night, 65-51.

Barry Brown had 21 points for the Wildcats.

Lamont West led West Virginia with 16 points, while Derek Culver had 11 points and 11 rebounds to register his sixth double-double of the season.
