Sticks for Six: Bridgeport Seeking 6th Consecutive State Title

Bridgeport baseball has become very accustomed to bringing home hardware from Charleston. The Tribe has claimed the state championship plaque five years in a row.

Starting on Thursday afternoon, the Indians and 33 year veteran head coach Robert Shields will look to make it six in a row, in a goal they are calling "Sticks for Six."

Bridgeport will play Shady Spring in the first round at Appalachian Power Park on Thursday at 4:30 p.m., hoping to solidify a spot in the state title game, which is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m.
