Nick Snyder threw a 1-hit, 1 walk masterpiece while striking out 16 batters as No. 17 West Virginia gave him just enough run support to beat Marshall, 2-0.
Synder took a no-hitter in the bottom of the ninth and with 2 outs and an 0-2 count on Erik Rodriguez, Rodriguez muscled out an infield hit to second base to break up the no-hitter.
Snyder then buckled down and forced Zach Inskeep to fly out to right field to complete the game.
The 16 strike outs were the most in program history since 1989
