WVU Baseball Ranked No. 17

WVU baseball is ranked No. 17 in the d1baseball.com poll and is now the highest-ranked team in the Big 12.

Junior right-hand pitcher Alek Manoah was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the third-consecutive week. It is the first time in conference history that a pitcher has received the honor for three weeks in a row. Manoah threw a complete-game shutout with 15 strikeouts against Kansas on Saturday while allowing only three hits and no walks.

The Mountaineers (24-14 overall, 8-7 Big 12) secured their fourth-straight Big 12 series victory last weekend and will host Penn State on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
