WVU Baseball Walks-Off Twice Against Kansas

WVU baseball walked-off twice against Kansas on Saturday to secure its fourth-consecutive Big 12 series victory.

In game one, Marques Inman hit a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the ninth-inning to lift the Mountaineers to a 1-0 win. WVU starter Alek Manoah threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 18 batters while allowing just three hits. It was the second-consecutive complete game shutout and 15 strikeout performance from Manoah. The junior right-hander hasn't allowed a run in 32.2 consecutive innings and becomes the fourth player in program history to have multiple games with at least 15 strikeouts.

In game two, Brandon White scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 11th inning as WVU defeated Kansas, 4-3. Tyler Doanes and Phillip Dull each went 2-for-3 in the game.

With the doubleheader sweep, the Mountaineers improve to 24-13 overall and 8-6 in Big 12 play.
