WVU Downs No. 19 Oklahoma, 5-1 to Secure First Big 12 Series Win

WVU baseball defeated No. 19 Oklahoma, 5-1 in the rubber match to win its first Big 12 series of the year.

Kade Strowd improved to 3-2 on the season allowing one earned run over five innings with eight strikeouts. Marques Inman went 1-for-4 with three RBIs and hit his fifth home run of the season. Sam Kessler threw 1.1 scoreless innings to record his fourth save.

The Mountaineers (16-11 overall, 2-4 Big 12) will host Pittsburgh on Wednesday at Monongalia County Ballpark at 6:30 p.m.
