WVU fell to Duke in the second round of the Morgantown Regional, 4-0. The Mountaineers will now play Texas A&M in an elimination game on Sunday at noon.
Darius Hill went 3-for-3 as the Mountaineers outhit the Blue Devils, 6-4. WVU starter Alek Manoah took the loss throwing six innings, allowing four earned runs with nine strikeouts. Duke starter Bryce Jarvis earned the win throwing eight scoreless innings and striking out 11 batters.
The winner of WVU and Texas A&M will face Duke at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The Mountaineers or the Aggies will have to beat the Blue Devils twice to advance to the NCAA Super Regional.
