WVU Safety Robinson to Transfer from WVU

After leading West Virginia football with 4 interceptions in 2018 All-Big 12 First Teamer Kenny Robinson Jr. is set to transfer from the Mountaineers.

WVU Athletics confirmed today that Robinson entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday.

Robinson was also second on the team with 77 tackles behind Big 12 defensive player of the year and Tennessee Titan rookie David Long Jr.

The junior safety was set to be one of the leaders of West Virginia's secondary as the most veteran player in the free safety position.

Robinson represents the second likely-to-be starter player to transfer under Coach Neal Brown, after junior wide receiver Marcus Simms announced his intention to transfer on April 29.
