WVU Athletics announced on Monday that West Virginia women's basketball will face Mississippi State in the 2019 Big 12/SEC Challenge.
The Mountaineers will travel to Starkville, Mississippi to meet the Bulldogs on Dec. 8.
It marks WVU's second all-time meeting with the Bulldogs. The two last met on Nov. 20, 2014, at Humphrey Coliseum. The Mountaineers dropped the game, 74-61, to then-No. 17 Mississippi State.
The Mountaineers are coming off a season in which they went 22-11, including an 11-7 mark in Big 12 play, and hosted to their second straight WNIT.
The Bulldogs are two-time NCAA Runner-Ups (2017,2018) and went to Elite Eight this past season. They represent a huge boost to the Mountaineers strength of schedule as WVU women's basketball finished last season with the 80th ranked RPI in the NCAA.
