FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) - The West Virginia State Police announced that they will conduct a saturation patrol in Marion County at the end of August.

A saturation patrol is a strategy that police use where a large number of officers concentrate in a specific area to increase the chances of deterring crime.

Officials say that this saturation patrol will occur specifically to try and deter intoxicated driving in the area.
