1 person taken to hospital overnight after semi-truck rolls over on I-79

LOST CREEK, W.Va (WDTV) - One person was taken to the hospital after a semi-truck rolled over on I-79 near Lost Creek late Monday night.

The accident occurred in the southbound lanes at approximately 11:30 p.m. near mile marker 111, just before the Lost Creek exit.

One person was transported by ambulance to United Hospital Center, officials said.

One southbound lane of I-79 was closed for several hours while crews worked to remove the semi.

The Lost Creek, Stonewood and Jane Lew volunteer fire departments assisted Nutter Fort EMS and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office on scene.
