Explosion, house fire sends 1 person to hospital in Parsons

PARSONS, W.Va (WDTV) - An explosion and house fire sent one person to the hospital in Parsons on Friday morning.

The Parsons Fire Department received the call about a structure fire with an explosion at around 9:50 a.m. on Holly Meadows Road.

A 5 News reporter on scene described debris thrown in about a 30-foot radius away from the home, also saying many of the items looked charred.

Thomas and Davis volunteer fire departments, Tucker County Sheriff’s Department and the West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office all responded to the scene.

One person was injured and transported by Tucker County EMS. We have no update on the patient at this time.
