Upshur County Commission addresses condition of Buckhannon community
The Morgan Addition community in Buckhannon is still struggling with flooding issues from months ago.

BUCKHANNON, W.Va (WDTV) - The Morgan Addition community in Buckhannon is still struggling with flooding issues from months ago. 5News first reported the story back in January, when it was discovered that more than 6 feet of flood water covered the neighborhood’s road. Conditions were so bad, that residents were unable to use their vehicles to get to and from their homes. The problem was temporarily solved, but the flood conditions returned. 5News reached out to the Upshur County Commission for comment, here was their response:
“We appreciate the residents being patient as the DOH works with the city and other agencies to get the proper permits to be able to start the project,” said Sam Nolte, Upshur County Commission President.
There is not yet a timetable for when construction on Morgan Addition will begin.
